Slaughtering qualities of Edilbaev ram hogs of different birth types

The article presents data on the slaughtering qualities of the rams of the Edilbaevskaya breed of different birth types. The research was carried out in the Kamyshinskoe SPC of the Kamyshinsky District of the Volgograd Region on single and double-type ram sheep. In animals of experimental groups such parameters as: live weight, weight of cooled carcass, weight of internal fat, weight of fattened fat, slaughter mass, content of pulp, on the basis of which slaughter yield and meat factor were calculated, were studied. Our studies show that the production of mutton in slaughter mass per sheep at the birth of ram-type double-bodied type of birth increases to 33.54 kg, or 52.66% more than at the birth of sheep's odds.
