Abstract

Need of reviewing of import substitution as process and as economic category is justified. Features of natural and artificial nature of process of import substitution are selected. Need of reviewing import substitution through resolution of conflicts is reasoned. External and internal contradictions of process of import substitution are systematized. The main methodological bases of a research of  import substitution as process and as economic category are selected. Genetic approach, reproduction aspect as a part of systems analysis of import substitution, and also synergy approach is used. Authoring approach to determination of an entity of import substitution is provided. The maintenance of a concept of import substitution as economic category in relation to an agrofood complex is opened.
